Why Howard Laughed
Question: Will anyone read an architecture / cycling / global warming / peak oil / housing bubble bursting blog? Answer: Don't care, therapy is therapy. Looks like it's gonna be a long hard slog, uphill, into the gale, with rusty gears and a bad attitude.

I don't know, Howard, myman.... I don't honestly know if I could do that speed on my bike. 35+ gets me all fired up as it is..... I guess I'll find out soon enough though. I'm hoping to do some pretty hilly rides this season. I'll let you know how close I get to that mark (likely not too close).

Before Howard took up cycling, I never could reconcile him as an adult with the boy who skateboarded down I-80 through Telephone Canyon in southern Wyoming--an altitude change from summit to valley of almost two thousand feet. But now I understand. He was just waiting for an adult version of a skateboard. And he found it.
You do wear a motorcycle helmet, yes? If not, you should think about taking this test... http://www.penddraig.co.uk/pen/tests/sanity.htm

Yeah, I skateboarded down I-80 summit and crashed and burned. Wasn't wearing a helmet, so I never skateboarded again. Now that helmets are widely available, I'm back, baby!
Test says I'm 10.7% insane.
I can live with that.
Whoa!!! I got a chill & started giggling when i read that (60.6mph). As my Indian buds at work say, "You are the man!"
