Question: Will anyone read an architecture / cycling / global warming / peak oil / housing bubble bursting blog? Answer: Don't care, therapy is therapy. Looks like it's gonna be a long hard slog, uphill, into the gale, with rusty gears and a bad attitude.
I'm fond of telling clients who ask me "can we do this?" that with enough money you can do anything. I'm not lying when I say it. Still, I've yet to meet the client who says, "well, then let's do it." Looks like this architect met that client. Lucky stiff.

I try to work as little as possible, but when I do, I bill at $75 an hour. I'm worth more, but illegal immigrants are holding down wages. And yeah, that's a picture of me... only I'm taller and younger. You want to believe me, don't you?

Hey Howard, just curious: do you have any pictures of a home that comes closest to the ideal living space that you envision from top to bottom? You should post a virtual tour of such a home.
I've got something in mind by way of a graphic and design response for you, but you'll have to be patient. I'm still not sure how to present it yet, and it's going to take a bit of work.
But I will say that the Ideal Living Space is entirely a function of the owner's wants and needs and lifestyle and budget and tastes. My goal as Architect is to help the owner/client be happy and content with their new or upgraded living spaces, not to try and force a "perfect one-size-fits-all solution" down their throat.
And yet, having said that, I still have something in mind that I'll post to this blogspace someday soon enough...
